My Story
For as long as I can remember, cooking has been a cornerstone of my family’s identity. Whether it was preparing meals for large family gatherings, community events, or simply to earn some extra cash, our kitchen has always been a bustling hub of activity and love.
My passion for cooking ignited long before I ever picked up a knife or a spoon. As a child, I was captivated by the sweet, aromatic scents of spices and herbs wafting through the air, the rhythmic bubbling of soup simmering on the stove, and the satisfying sound of a knife chopping fresh greens on the cutting board. Watching my family cook was like witnessing a masterpiece unfold—a beautiful blend of skill, tradition, and creativity.
When I finally took my turn in the kitchen, my first task was often cutting blocks of cheese for our beloved mac and cheese. I dreaded the aching in my fingers and wrists that came with the job, but the sharp, savory taste of melted cheese mingling with buttery pasta and a perfectly crusted top made me forget all about the discomfort.
At the age of 13, I embarked on my culinary journey by joining my family’s catering company. There, I gained invaluable experience in all aspects of the business—negotiating contracts, providing customer service, honing my food preparation skills, and mastering traditional cooking methods. As time went on, my passion for the culinary arts blossomed. I became fascinated with the artistry of curating menus that complement various events, the meticulous preparation and cooking of food, and creating visually stunning displays of appetizers.
